  • VOLUNTEER ABROAD THE BEST WAY POSSIBLE!

E.P.I.C.'s Fellowship Program is a leadership training and on the ground experience in global aid and development.  We bring committed and passionate people like you to communities in need, to take part in various projects such as; the implementation of clean water wells, hygiene and sanitation education, performing arts and creativity, business and leadership training, nutrition education, medical aid, and the construction of schools, libraries, and other educational institutions. The Fellowship Program was created by the founders of E.P.I.C. (Everyday People Initiating Change), Alexi Panos and Tennille Amor, to educate and inspire global advocates to be the change they wish to see in the world.     For more information on E.P.I.C., please visit: www.epicthemovement.org

  • FELLOWSHIP FEE

Before traveling to Africa, each fellow is responsible for raising a fellowship fee of $2950.   Over a third of this goes towards whatever project is being worked on while there, depending on what is selected in the application. For example, if you are working on a water project, it goes towards the drilling and maintenance of the well. If you are building a school, it goes towards the building costs, and maintenance of that school. If you are teaching English, it goes towards teaching supplies, and the running of the English program, etc. Our goal is to empower Everyday People who come out, to see firsthand how they are Initiating Change in the village where they are working. By raising the fee before coming out, each of the E.P.I.C. team members is already personally invested in the village when they get there. Another portion of the fee covers all of the on the ground expenses while in Tanzania (lodging, traveling within Tanzania, food, water, training materials, and anything else that is needed while volunteering in country). The rest of the fee goes to the administrative costs of running the program, and the two team leaders who are there to teach you everything you need to know, and help you with anything you may need while you are there.   It does not include your flight, or anything needed before arriving in Tanzania.   The fellowship fee is fully tax deductible. If you would like advice on how to raise the money for your trip, we would be happy to help! If you have any other questions, feel free to email us: info@epicthemovement.org

  • TESTIMONIALS

"One of the best experiences of my life. Rewarding, Enriching, Evolving, Inspiring and Worth every moment. A very unforgettable experience!" - Khristin Mandisa Tinah   "Doing humanitarian work with E.P.I.C. in Tanzania was truly a life altering experience. There is a huge sense of humility you get when you see just how far your efforts can go in effecting people's lives in a positive way. The happiness and joy seen in their culture makes your heart sing for hope in mankind. The fact that you can experience all of that and do something you know will benefit others is worth more than money can buy. This is coming from someone who had never even left America before! Truly grateful for the team of motivated spirits behind this program." - Kristopher Love   "E.P.I.C was that plus more. I am forever transformed by what I experienced in Tanzania, but also by the love and unity I experienced with the other fellows. Everyone needs to take that trip." - Preston Smiles   "Volunteering with E.P.I.C was one of the richest experiences I’ve ever had! Their unique volunteer model gave me an intimate experience with the local culture and helped me understand their plight by allowing me to carry water buckets with the villagers. This engaging technique allowed me to feel the weight of their struggle and forced me to see things I took for granted back home. Among the locals, I did not feel like a tourist or volunteer, I felt like a friend and we have maintained those relationships five years later. E.P.I.C. sets an admirable example on how voluntourism can broaden the way you see and receive the world." - GiGi Blanchard   "The day-to-day appreciation I have after traveling with E.P.I.C to Tanzania has forever changed the way I view the world I live in. This was a trip that strips you to the core and builds you back up with a full heart and fresh mind that gives you hope that change can happen. You meet people, you share stories, but you never forget the eyes that thanked you endlessly. Tennille and Alexi provide an opportunity to learn more about a people, a cause, about you, and how powerful each individual can be by taking part. This is a break into the reality of the world, and a humbling journey that will forever help a people in need. This was an opportunity of a lifetime that I will keep close to my heart in all my journeys." - Tom Graney   "Working with EPIC has restored my faith in humanity, and helped me grow as a person immensely. What I love most about the work is the reciprocal nature of the work. You're getting so much back from what you've put in." - Anthony Finley   "E.P.I.C. is just that... EPIC! It is hard to put words to such a life changing experience. The time I spent in Tanzania with E.P.I.C. shaped me into a whole new way of being. Life took on a new perspective, humanity and purpose were redefined. The impact E.P.I.C. has in the villages as a whole and with each individual is so special, and it was an honor to be apart of something so wonderful. The relationship between Tennille and Alexi with the villagers creates a true foundation of change; something sustainable and genuine. A true partnership toward the greater good. E.P.I.C. is more than a name or words it's a blessing to anyone involved." - Jacqui Kemp   "My experience with EPIC was life changing to say the least. It opened my eyes to a world that didn't seem tangible from so far away. I'm beyond grateful to have the opportunity to work with some of the kindest people I've ever met & for the things I learned from them. The work done in TZ is nothing short of brilliant. Tanzania & our family there are a part of me now and forever." - Frank Martinelli   "Traveling with the E.P.I.C. was an ultimate adventure and game-changer that has left a profound imprint on my spirit.  I believed I was going to Africa to make a difference when in turn the African people shifted something inside of me!  While walking for water in one of the villages, I was honored and humbled to experience joy in its purest form. My heart and soul were transformed. I will forever cherish those gifts! If you are ready for an experience that will transform your spirit and positively shape humanity, join E.P.I.C for the Fellowship Program." - Tara Magalski   "My time in Tanzania with E.P.I.C. opened my eyes to a world I had only heard or read about. It was a trip that took me through a wide range of emotions and that ultimately gave me clarity, purpose, and hope. The people I encountered had huge hearts, welcomed me as if I were family, demonstrated what strength, dignity and love is all about, and exemplified humanity. Speaking with and more importantly seeing life through the locals’ eyes, experiencing what they face each day, brings clarity to the struggle and illuminates the road to a solution. I highly recommend this experience with E.P.I.C. as their approach is holistic and most importantly respectful of the people they work to help. I'm very thankful for the opportunity to have participated." - Jennifer Barrios   "Working with E.P.I.C. was a very real and personal experience and thus left a resounding impression. By performing hands on work with and for those in need there is a lasting effect that's undeniable. I'm thankful for insight and growth, working with such wonderful and inspired people, and grateful for the lifelong friendships that resulted. One of the best decisions I have ever made." - Peter Weber
